Syringe drivers in palliative care: a reviewMedical Director, The Wisdom Hospice, Rochester The continuous subcutaneous administration of drugs is both convenient and practical. Portable, battery-driven syringe drivers enable predictable amounts of analgesics or antiemetics to be delivered parenterally. The methods and drugs used are reviewed, including drug compatibility and potential problems.
