The use of opioid analgesics in the last 24 hours of life of patients with advanced cancerWisdom Hospice, Rochester
Wisdom Hospice, Rochester The use of opioids, both parenteral and oral, in the last 24 hours of life is presented. Of patients with advanced cancer in a hospice, 66% were able to take oral medication in the last day of life and the need for parenteral medication over long periods is small.
