Review article : The use of nerve destruction for rel ief of pain in cancer: a reviewWalton Hospital, Liverpool Neurolytic blocks may be required in as many as one in 10 patients with cancer pain. Despite the potential adverse effects, such blocks can produce good analgesia without the adverse effects sometimes associated with analgesic regimens.
