An extra care sheltered housing complex for frail ambulant cancer patientsThe history and development of an extra care sheltered housing complex, specifically designed and built for frail, ambulant, cancer patients is reviewed. Consideration is given to diagnosis, length of stay, place of death, family and social background. Problems are highlighted and the need for future research is discussed.
